Great Alpine region Hotel, the staff are super friendly, the beer was nice and cold, the fried squid and homemade garlic bread was perfect... A must stop if passing through as we did.

Went Friday night for dinner and had the best Chicken Parma and Garlic bread we have had in such a long time. The lady owner was so friendly and great to talk to. The kids also enjoyed their nuggets and chips. Highly recommend!

My band Drunken Ninja played there last night, and to say that he welcome we received from both the patrons and the owners and staff was excellent would be an under statement.. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough... meals were so very good and generous as well as very reasonably priced .hopefully we will be back in the near future... thoroughly enjoyed our stay... Do yourself a favour and definitely drop into The Golden Age on your way through Omeo

I loved staying here, the rooms were clean, amenities were spotless. Let me tell you the meals were excellent.

They offer small and regular size mains for lunch which is quite good for people who aren’t too hungry.
We ordered 2 small mains, fish and chips and a steak. They come with salad and chips. I enjoyed my fish and chips. Hot and fresh. And they served really fast. Great service and nice atmosphere.

Clean and tidy room with a comfortable bed! Dinners we had were delicious, steak, lamb and bangers and mash all beautifully tasty! Treat yourselves to the cheese bacon garlic bread too!

Lunch. Steaks were cooked as ordered, very generous servings. Everything was delicious. Can see why so many make the trip up, won't disappoint.

Pleasant staff and the food was divine. Lamb Rump was the best I've ever tasted. We will be back again next time.

What an awesome country pub. We stayed here for one night, the room was clean, service was awesome. Buffet brekky is included with room bookings. We had dinner out at the pub and the meals were so delicious and huge. Country hospitality at its best!

Were passing through Omeo for 2 days stay,& got a room without a booking. (Lucky me!!)Standard room was lovely & roomy. But there was a leaky shower head in the bathroom. Mentioned it to staff & when we got back from spending the day out. The lovely owner upgraded us to a bigger room. (Super nice!!) The meals we had were superb, prices very reasonable. The staff & owners, very welcoming. Just the best customer service !! Highly recommend this pub & hotel to anyone choosing to visit Omeo!!

We couldn't dine in due to the busy crowd. We took away our foods. Steaks, Nachos and Chicken Parma were delicious. Good quantity of each portion, quick preparation and affordable prices. We highly recommend Golden Age Motel for those who are passing Omeo. Remember to reserve a table early.

One of the best stays I’ve ever had. All staff at the golden age are so accommodating and nice! Meals are beautiful, the fish and chips are so good! Our car broke down and we were stuck in Omeo for 3 days, we stayed 2 nights at the golden age and they were nice enough to give us the 3rd night for free! (Spa room) I will be staying again, it was the best and Omeo is so beautiful. Cant wait to he back there

A classic country pub with delicious food! We had some local dishes like shark from Lakes Entrance and roo from a nearby farm, and both were absolutely amazing! Everything about their food is great, but what’s the winning ingredient seems to always be their sauces! It’s a lovely pub with an outdoor dining area to soak in the country air. I can’t wait to go back one day!

Very good meals as usual.. Staff also very good.. What would be useful is to mark the meals that are Gluten Free on the menu.

Staff extremely friendly and just all round very inviting. Menu is small but the food is amazing!!!! Ordered wedges and a mini steak and could not fault anything! For $10 the serving of wedges was huge and so crunchy and yummy! Would 100% recommend absolutely anyone to eat there. Looking forward to going back one day.

Had a lovely Parma here for tea. Huge meal!! The chicken breast was very thick and juicy, cooked perfectly. Good chips and veg. Busy place.

A classic old school country hotel with loads of charm and character. The staff are tremendous and nothing is too hard. They make you feel like a VIP. I will be back again. The meals and service are second to none.

Absolutely gorgeous country pub, restored to its art deco splendor. What a beautiful little town Omeo is - and no country town is complete without its pub and let me tell you this one is extraordinary. Well worth a visit and a stay if you have time.

The service was really friendly at the bar and the food was delicious. The cheesy garlic bread was made from Sourdough and was divine.. We both had the Chicken Parmas, which was very yummy. These chicken schnitzels however did not have a crispy batter like most, it was more lightly crumbed. Would recommend this place!

This is such a great place to stay. Fantastic staff, the beers are cold and the food is fantastic including the simple but perfect breakie. It is from a bygone era that is worth stopping and experiencing. Thanks for keeping it real.

Visited last weekend with a group of 10 on a motorcycle trip. Fantastic pub with warm and very friendly staff! Nothing was too much trouble. Food great. Highly recommend.

Visited on a Very busy Saturday night. Very cheery service and had all the food at my table within 15 minutes, and it all tasted great. Definitely recommend a visit.

Havent been out for a meal for a long time with two young kids in our house. Very happy that we chose to eat here. The scotch fillet was excellent, the cheesy garlic bread delicious. Big meals, great service, owners are good country people who know proper hospitality. Even saw Eric Bana enjoying a meal.

I stopped for a bar meal for lunch and it was terrific. I ordered a chicken schnitzel and it was outstanding. The chips which came with it were hand cut NOT frozen made them better than most others. The front bar has fabulous gum slabs for bar tops. The motel facade is wonderfully Art Deco as is most of the interior. A fantastic place to stop.

The service at the bar was friendly. The steak was cooked to my liking (as opposed to only well done as at most pubs) and the serves were generous. A good stop in, and it’s Art Deco inside and out. What more could you want?

We stopped in Omeo to vist family that live there and had dinner at the hotel. The food was very good and our steaks were cooked perfectly. We decided to stay over night and booked a room. They room was good and the beds nice and comfy. Our booking included breakfast which was nice. Would stay again anytime

If you are in Omeo or even just passing through, your trip isn't complete until you have stopped in at this traditional pub. Cold beers and cheap counter meals. We stopped when passing through in winter, left feeling warm and satisfied with our our meals. Mix of friendly locals, tradies and travelers.

Great accommodation. Very hot showers..fantastic. We've had 4 counter meals in a row and this was the best. The steak was apparently perfect...according to some in my group. Friendly and efficient staff.

This place has an amazing menu. Backed up by what comes out on the plate. Professional and friendly staff and leaves you wanting to come back and enjoy more. Cannot recommend this venue enough. Do yourself a favour. Go to the golden age. You'll enjoy.
